The role of the host
In North Tyneside, the LINk is ‘hosted’ by North Tyneside VODA (Voluntary Organisations Development Agency) (www.voda.org.uk). The job of the host is to provide support to the LINk and be accountable for ensuring that this support is appropriate. The host is responsible for:
- Recruiting people and groups to the LINk
- Helping to establish and review governance arrangements
- Informing LINk members about local issues
- Making administrative arrangements in respect of LINk activities
- Keeping financial records and communitcating the work of LINk and its outcomes to the local community
- Offering guidance and research to the LINk
