Walking in their shoes - free training
This two hour interactive training course delivered by Them Wifies will raise awareness
of the issues facing young people and their families seeking asylum. Using an original
piece of theatre created and performed by young people as a guide it will provide a clear
definition of the term "asylum seeker" and"refugee" as well as an understanding of
events or situations that could affect their mental health.

CQC to inspect home care services
Following publication of the Equality and Human Rights Commission report 'Close to home' the Care Quality Commission has announced an inspection programme covering 250 service providers starting in April 2012. Care Quality Commission report on dignity and nutrition for older people
This year the Care Quality Commission (CQC) carried out unannounced inspections of 100 hospitals to look at the standards of dignity and nutrition for older patients. They looked at whether older people are treated with respect and how they are helped with food and drink when they need it. Find out more
